In a world full of noise， Alexa and Carlos are always a breath of fresh air。 The rawness， vulnerability， and playfulness they bring to their lives and social media presence translated really well to the page。 I appreciated the way they were willing to dive into things many people like to gloss over and that their story is told through both of their perspectives。 They do a great of job of meeting readers where they’re at and creating an enjoyable， inspiring， and fun read。

Growing up， I knew of Alexa because of Spy kids but didn’t know much about Carlos until only a few years back when I saw that he was on Big Time Rush。 Like many， I follow them both on social media。 When I saw that they were releasing a book， I knew I had to buy it。 Little did I know， I’d get an advanced digital copy when I was chosen to be part of their book launch team in early June。 Once I received it， I started reading it immediately， and the next thing I knew I already was halfway done with Growing up， I knew of Alexa because of Spy kids but didn’t know much about Carlos until only a few years back when I saw that he was on Big Time Rush。 Like many， I follow them both on social media。 When I saw that they were releasing a book， I knew I had to buy it。 Little did I know， I’d get an advanced digital copy when I was chosen to be part of their book launch team in early June。 Once I received it， I started reading it immediately， and the next thing I knew I already was halfway done with the book。 It was just so good — I didn’t want to put it down。 I tend to take my time when reading a new book but I ended up reading all of the book that same day。 One thing that I found interesting and unique was how every other chapter is written by either Carlos or Alexa or vice versa but both wrote the last chapter together。 You get to see both of their personalities shine throughout the chapters in the book。 Carlos and Alexa are vulnerable and not afraid to share their past experiences。 I love that they are bold and not afraid to share their testimonies about how God allowed certain things to happen in their life to change them for the better。 Their faith in the Lord is so refreshing and such a beautiful thing to see。 I have learned so much about each one of them and how their relationship with Jesus has grown throughout their life。 I enjoyed reading every single one of the chapters。 If I had to choose one part in the book that was my favorite， it would have to be about how they met and how their love story evolved。 This book will make you laugh and it might even make you cry。 The book releases on June 28th， get it， you won’t regret it。 。。。more

I admired Carlos and Alexa before I read this book， and I admire them even more now that I’m finished。 I enjoyed every minute of their story。I， like many others， follow them on Instagram。 I’ve long admired their relationship with each other and their family relationship。 They seem like the picture-perfect family， however I know that they have struggles just like the rest of us。 Their story gave more insight about how they deal with those struggles and what has worked for them， especially turning I admired Carlos and Alexa before I read this book， and I admire them even more now that I’m finished。 I enjoyed every minute of their story。I， like many others， follow them on Instagram。 I’ve long admired their relationship with each other and their family relationship。 They seem like the picture-perfect family， however I know that they have struggles just like the rest of us。 Their story gave more insight about how they deal with those struggles and what has worked for them， especially turning to Christ。I appreciated how raw they were and how they genuinely opened up about their struggles and successes。 Hearing how Alexa overcame her disordered eating and how she knew one morning that it was really gone was really amazing。 I enjoyed watching them each come to Christ and how so much of their lives were orchestrated for their good。 I liked how they saw Christ in their lives and acknowledged His hand instead of passing it off as coincidence。 I think the part that stood out the most to me was their experience on Dancing with the Stars。 It must have taken a lot of strength to focus on their marriage relationship when everyone else was telling them to put their dancing partner first。 I thought it must have felt so fulfilling when they got fan mail thanking them for putting their focus on their marriage the week after Alfonso told Alexa to focus more on her partner instead of Carlos。 It was remarkable that Carlos was able to share his testimony during the show。 It was a huge risk， but they didn’t care about the risks; they wanted everyone to know who Christ was just like they did。 I think that one of the things I respect most about Carlos and Alexa is that they don’t care what society says， they don’t care what is popular in show business。 They proudly defend their values and accept roles that fit in line with them or turn away roles that put their values at risk。Another part I really resonated with was when they told about how they prayed to put on the armor of God， what a great way to pray over your family。 Overall， the book was truly thought provoking。 I finished it wanting to evaluate my relationship with Christ， and to be a better person。 。。。more

I was so excited to read this book！ I've been a fan of Alexa's my whole life and have loved watching her career unfold and the adventures her family goes on。 Following both Alexa and Carlos on social media and seeing their everyday lives and how they live for Jesus has inspired me in so many ways。 This book did not disappoint！！ Not only is it so relatable， but they both share personal stories that I hadn't heard before。 Let's face it life isn't always easy and pretty--but seeing how the PenaVega I was so excited to read this book！ I've been a fan of Alexa's my whole life and have loved watching her career unfold and the adventures her family goes on。 Following both Alexa and Carlos on social media and seeing their everyday lives and how they live for Jesus has inspired me in so many ways。 This book did not disappoint！！ Not only is it so relatable， but they both share personal stories that I hadn't heard before。 Let's face it life isn't always easy and pretty--but seeing how the PenaVega's came out of their different struggles and their faith only grew is amazing！ I really related to the differences in their personalities/how they view life situations。 I'm very go with the flow， always look to the positive， and trust it will all work out （like Alexa） and my husband is the opposite。 Their struggles felt so relatable because they are！ Seeing how God has worked in their lives together and personally is so inspiring。 This book helped me see some things in a new light within my own walk with God and I am so thankful for this book and the words God used them to write to reach me！ I definitely recommend to everyone！ 。。。more

This book was amazing！ I did not want to put it down！ I read from cover to cover within 3 days。 Which is saying something since I am a mom， full time student， and part time worker。 Carlos and Alexa are so open and honest about their life journey and struggles。 It made me think about my own relationship with Jesus and ways I could step up。 Seriously， read this book and tell your friends and family about it！

The world can be such a scary an confusing place。 Carlos and Alexa have had their share of navigating difficult times， along with searching for the love and satisfaction this world keeps telling us we ‘deserve。’ This book will have you laughing out loud and fighting to hold back the tears as you follow them on this journey of trying to figure out “What is the point？” And ultimately shares how they discovered that Jesus， and love， truly is the point。
